The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe:
In the Fall of 2018 I was the Costume Designer for The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe at Randolph College under director Jim Warren, former Artistic Director and Co-founder of the American Shakespeare Center.
We decided to go the route with the animals that displayed their more human qualities. Aslan was a character I really enjoyed creating because he has a more ancient look, I also worked to rig his wig so that when he is shaved the Witch's army could rip pieces of his wig or mane out.
Lucy, the one who finds Narnia is in green for adventure and hope. I draped her dress based on an old pattern I saw online.
Susan's bliaut I patterned and built. I also worked to build both of the girl's crowns by taking a base and wiring and soldering the feathers and jewels on to them.
I built the White Witch's belt and styled her wig. I also put together the White Stag's antlers and built her over vest.
