Clothing Work

Taylor Swift Eras Tour Oufit:

In Spring of 2023 I went to the Taylor Swift's Eras Tour and naturally I had to build something for it.

I was inspired by the Haunted tour outfit and did a version of it.  I build the entire outfit, minus the boots. I built the top onto a bra and made the shorts from a pattern. I draped the skirt and snake skin pieces.

I added references to every album in my outfit!

Green Daenerys Inspired Winter Coat:

In Summer of 2020, I worked to draped, pattern, tailor, and build this Green Wool Daenerys Inspired Winter Coat. I wanted the coat to evoke the look of her winter jackets with the strong shoulders from season 8.

I worked with my first hand, Mary Evelyn Gunn, who assisted me in pinning the coat to tailor it to my body. She used this project as a teaching tool to help me improve upon my pattern making skills as well as teaching me tricks from the fashion trade.

Clothing:

The first dress is a 50s inspired dress I made out a fabric with knights all over it, I used a pattern to build it. The violet dress I draped and patterned as a demonstration for the Costume Design class at Randolph College. I then built it to show them how you can make something from scratch.

I built from the pictured pattern and crop top and matching pants outfit following all of the instructions given in the pattern.

Dye Work:

I also love to dye fabric. I most recently dyed a pair of converse to make them seafoam green, following instructions I found online and using the rit color charts. I added patches to the converse as well.

In the past I up-cycled my graduation dress from high school. I dyed it china blue and added lace to the sleeves and down the center front with buttons.
