Bio

Hope Maddox is a  Costume Designer and Technician.  

​

Hope is the Costume Shop Manager and Resident Designer at Randolph College where she also teaches Costume Design and Technology and Intro to Theatre.

 

Her costume resume includes work with the American Shakespeare Center, Endstation Theatre Company, Old City Cemetery Candlelight Tours, Sweet Briar College,  and The Prizery.

She has  served as the Production Manager and then as the Supervisor of Operations at Endstation Theatre Company from 2023-2024.

 

From April 2018 to August 2020, Hope was the Costume Shop Manager at the American Shakespeare Center in Staunton, Va.  During her time there she taught workshops in costume history via Zoom for a Masterclass series as well in person for the education department. 

 

Hope has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with a Minor in History from Longwood University. She also holds a certificate from the University of Glasgow and Historic Royal Palaces in A History of Royal Fashion and one from the University of Roehampton in The Tudors.  She received  her M.A. in Nonprofit Leadership Studies from the University of Lynchburg.
